Bad Dream

I had a dream last night that this goddamn thing was chasing me.  90 minute speed painting.

Green Lantern

I'm personally not a fan of the Green Lantern film. One of the biggest flaws I found was the miss-cast of Ryan Reynolds has Hal Jordan. If DC ever get round to making a JLA movie, I really hope they ditch the Hal character and go with the John Stewart version. I think Common would be a pretty good cast choice for that role!

Wonder Woman

I saw 'Haywire' a few days ago and thought that Gina Carano would make an awesome Wonder Woman!

Assassin's Creed Movie Poster

So today, I wanted to get some work done, but I wasn't feeling particularly inspired, so I thought I'd have a stab at creating a movie poster with matte painting. With news that Michael Fassbender has been attached to the upcoming Assassin's Creed movie, I thought I'd approach that! I just like to make it clear that I'm (unfortunately) in no way attached to the official movie and all this work is fan based. Also, I took various stills from Assassin's Creed Lineage shorts as well as incorporating my own designs.

My Apartment...

..well, I wish it was my apartment! In New York no less! I thought I'd try a piece that could be used in set design, creating a 'modern' style of interior design. The Apartment comes complete with a Jenny Saville original painting too!

Landscape

I came across an old speed painting I did quite a while ago, so I thought I'd put some new life into it.

Bank Robber Design Variations

Final Designs

Early Designs: Here, I was trying to work out what 'style' of bank robbers I wanted. This varied from suits, urban terrorists and clowns.

Some recent sketch work

Here's some sketch designs from bits and pieces of work that I've been working on lately. There's also a piece of concept art available from an unannounced film that I did some pre-visuals for. Enjoy! :)

Jack Ruby Returns

Hi guys. I've recently been returning to a character I thought of nearly 2 years ago (he's in one of my previous posts from 2010, but as a silhouette). But! Changes have been made!
Before he was very illustrative in terms of style, however now I've approached him a little differently. He still remains an arrogant, alcoholic, idiot assassin bumbling through missions and misadventures but I've changed the setting to more of a 70's theme.
I think he could use a few tweaks here and there but I was excited to get him up on here. More characters will be on the way!

Happy New Year from Kül

Hello and (belated) Happy New Year!

I've been swamped lately with a mountain of freelance work that I've been (and still continuing to be) working on, so I haven't been able to upload much work! However, hopefully I'll have permission to make some of my work public within the next few weeks. Happy days!

Anyway, here's a personal piece that I started working on before Christmas. Meet Kül, my new entry into the world of Mortal Kombat. Think along the lines of Scorpion or the old version of Reptile where, underneath their flesh, lies a body of power and energy. Kül has lovely molten lava under his and when he uses it, his skin burns and flakes away like ash in the wind. Pretty nifty!

Maybe I could post this character as an official unused character art, begin a revolution of complaints as to why he wasn't used, and somehow get him put into the next installment of Mortal Kombat. Hm... we can only try. Let the revolution begin!
