Minimal Attrition - Frank Concept

Here's another character concept for 'Minimal Attrition'.
Although the structure around Minimal Attrition is based upon heists/robberies, I wanted the main story to be very character focused. I'm very interested in dysfunctional families and wanted to incorporate this into the project.
So, I'm exploring a dynamic between Nathan (still not keen on the name...) being forced to work with his father, Frank, to complete the heists.
Frank used to be a bank robber but, due to an armed robbery going wrong, he spent a number of years in prison, leaving a young Nathan and his mother with nothing. Despite Frank trying to reestablish a relationship with Nathan when he got out of prison, Nathan still resents his father and they haven't spoken for years.

This is the base concept I've drafted to help try visualise Frank and to further establish that, even though sci-fi elements will be used in this project, the look and mood would be very 'present day'.

Minimal Attrition - Key Frame 002

Here's a key frame concept I've developed for my 'Minimal Attrition' Project.
I've been studying quite a lot of cinematography (which is fascinating when you get going!) to try and help develop up my visual style for this project.
If anyone would like to keep track of 'Minimal Attrition', I'll be updating more work on Facebook Art Page too:  https://www.facebook.com/David-Paget-Art-143957165698315/

Minimal Attrition - Nathan Concept

Here's an early design idea for my lead character, Nathan or 'Nate' (not sure about the name yet).
Even though I'm wanting to bring science fiction ideas into this project, I'm wanting everything to remain 'grounded' and believable. So fashion and clothing, for example, wouldn't be massively different to what you may see today. The sci-fi elements would also be part of everyday life to these characters.
I also threw in a 'heist' design variant too to see what I could come up with.
Early days, but it's a start!

Minimal Attrition

'Minimal Attrition' is a new project I'm going to be working on for quite some time. The idea is to create concept art for a heist based game, with a strong cinematic feel and some sci-fi influences.

Think 'Heat' or 'The Town', meets 'Elysium', with some visual flavour from 'Drive' (so many ideas!)

This design is probably a little too 'sci-fi' for what I'm wanting to achieve, but it's a start!

If anyone would like to track the progress of this project, more work is available here:  https://www.facebook.com/David-Paget-Art-143957165698315/
